Manuel Nunez Villavicencio and his family departed Santa Cruz, Tenerife on the Paquebot el Santismo Sacramento July 10, 1778 destined for Louisiana. This ship stopped in Cuba to off-load passengers that needed medical attention. The family was also found on the Paquetbot San Luis which departed Havana, Cuba on December 22, 1778 destined for Louisiana.
The family arrived in the settlement of Galveztown and received supplies under the name Manuel Nunez on January 24, 1779.
Note: The supply list notes that a Daughter died on October 29, 1779. Maria del Carmen is not listed on the supply list.
Based on the Sacramental Records from the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Estevan Nunez was living in St. Bernard and his Father and Mother are identified as Manuel Nunez and Josefa Suarez.
