Juan Aleman and his family departed Santa Cruz, Tenerife on the Frigate San Ignacio de Loyola October 29, 1778 destined for Louisiana. The family arrived in the settlement of Barataria and received supplies on July 20, 1779. A second supply list has the family in Valenzuela receiving supplies on December 19, 1779.
