Gabriel Hernandez and his family departed Santa Cruz, Tenerife on the Frigate San Ignacio de Loyola on October 29, 1778 destined for Louisiana. The family arrived in the settlement of Barataria and received supplies on July 20, 1779. Based on the supply list the family moved to St. Bernard (Tierra de Bueyes) and also received supplies on November 10, 1782.

Note: Sacramental records from New Orleans indicate that Vicente and Felix’s Father is Antonio Marrero and their Mother is listed as Barbara Francisca Milian / Barbara Perez. Gabriel is also referred too as Gregorio Hernandez on the St. Bernard supply list.
