Christoval Luis Molero and his family departed Santa Cruz, Tenerife on the Frigate el Sagrado Corazon de Jesus June 25, 1779 destined for Louisiana. The ship was ordered to stop in Havana, Cuba due to war with Great Britain. The family stayed there until August 7, 1783 when they left for Louisiana on the Paquebot La Santisima Trinidad. The family arrived in the settlement of Tierra de Bueyes (St. Bernard) and received supplies on February 4, 1784.
Based on pay records the family was receiving pay for eight children until January 1781 and then six children until December 1782. It appears they had a child (Francisco) in January 1783 while in Cuba.
